Now Hiring: Part-Time Summer Groomer ✂️

Our awesome full-time groomer is having a baby in June, so we’re looking for an experienced Summer Groomer to join our small, friendly shop at Doodle Stars!

This is a great opportunity to work 3–5 days a week through the busy summer months (June–August), with the possibility of staying on longer.

What we’re looking for:

• Ability to groom 5–8 dogs per day with a bather

• Confident, efficient, and gentle with all breeds

• Positive team player who loves dogs
• ✂️ Professional/ breed standard training available

Responsibilities 

• Brush and detangle or remove matted fur
• Bathe dogs and dry coat
• Execute a variety of clipping techniques and style requests
• Examine for parasites or other skin conditions
• Trim nails 
• Ensure the safety of dogs at all times
• Adhere to strict sanitary and cleaning procedures
• Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a dog grooming technician or similar role
• Comfortable working with anxious animals
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasionally lift large dogs over 60 pounds with assistance 
• Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education
• Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and dog owners
• Strong attention to detail
