Job Description
We are seeking experienced Intermodal Owner Operators based in the Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) area to join our growing drayage network. If you own your truck and are looking for consistent freight, fair rates, and a professional operations team that respects your time, we’d like to hear from you.
Position: Intermodal Owner Operator (1099)
Location: Dallas–Fort Worth, TX (DFW rail ramps and surrounding area)
Freight Type: Intermodal / Drayage (containers to/from rail ramps)

Responsibilities
Pick up and deliver intermodal containers to and from DFW rail ramps, customer facilities, and yards
Safely operate your tractor and comply with FMCSA, DOT, and rail terminal requirements
Maintain accurate logs, BOLs, and other required paperwork
Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers regarding ETA, delays, and issues
Ensure equipment (tractor and any chassis used) is in safe, legal operating condition
Requirements
Class A CDL with a clean and valid license
Own your tractor (must be ELD-compliant and in good working condition)
Minimum 3 years of Class A driving experience (intermodal experience preferred, not always required)
Current medical card and able to pass a DOT drug screen
Acceptable MVR and safety record (no major violations in the past 3 years)
Active insurance meeting minimum FMCSA requirements (liability, cargo, etc.)
Ability to work in and around DFW rail terminals (BNSF, UP, etc.) and follow ramp rules
Preferred Experience
Prior intermodal / drayage work (ramps, depots, and chassis)
Familiarity with DFW industrial areas and local customer facilities
Experience using mobile apps for dispatch, PODs, and check-calls
Compensation
Per-load / per-move pay with fuel surcharge
