The Role

A hands-on electrical design and drafting role supporting industrial project teams by developing accurate CAD drawings, performing basic design calculations, and ensuring compliance with NEC and NFPA standards throughout the full project lifecycle.

What You'll Be Doing

• Create and revise electrical drawings — schematics, one-line/three-line diagrams, panel schedules, wiring diagrams, and installation details
• Develop electrical layouts for power distribution, lighting, grounding, and control systems
• Perform basic electrical calculations — load, voltage drop, conduit fill, and panel sizing
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, mechanical designers, and the in-house panel shop
• Maintain document control and revision tracking; support field RFIs and as-built updates

What We Need

• 3–5 years of electrical design and drafting experience in an industrial environment
• Proficiency in AutoCAD — required
• Associate degree, technical diploma, or certification in Electrical Drafting or Engineering Technology — preferred
• Strong knowledge of NEC and NFPA standards
• Ability to interpret engineering sketches, specs, and markups into construction-ready drawings
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
