Job Title - Electrical Designer / Senior Electrical Designer

Location: Fully Remote – United States

Pay: Electrical Designer: $70K–$90K Senior Electrical Designer: $100K-$120K (based on experience)

Schedule: Full-time | Monday – Friday

Our client is a nationally recognized engineering and energy solutions organization supporting commercial and industrial building projects across the United States. Their consulting engineering division partners with businesses to design efficient electrical systems that support modern building performance, energy optimization, and large-scale multi-site operations. The company is known for its collaborative engineering culture, strong project pipeline, and ability to deliver complex design solutions for a wide range of commercial facilities.

They are looking for you, an experienced Electrical Designer or Senior Electrical Designer who can support electrical system design projects from concept through construction documentation. This is a direct hire opportunity with a fully remote team where the title and scope will be determined based on your experience and leadership capability.

What you get to do:

• Prepare detailed electrical design drawings for commercial building projects
• Develop and maintain AutoCAD and Revit drawing packages
• Design lighting layouts, power distribution systems, and electrical infrastructure
• Perform engineering calculations including voltage drop, short circuit, and load analysis
• Support electrical distribution design and single-line diagram preparation
• Coordinate with utilities, contractors, and local authorities to ensure code compliance
• Assist with life safety, emergency power, and low-voltage system design
• Participate in conceptual design and construction documentation phases

Senior-Level Additional Responsibilities:

• Lead electrical design efforts on assigned projects
• Manage schedules, budgets, and project deliverables
• Represent the engineering team in client and coordination meetings
• Mentor junior designers and oversee workload priorities
• Provide quality control and final design review

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• 5+ years of electrical design experience for Electrical Designer level
• 10+ years of experience for Senior Electrical Designer consideration
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
• Experience with commercial electrical systems and building code compliance
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a remote environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
